AS THE RESULT OF SIX RURAL COMMUNITIES JOINING FORCES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A COMMON SERVICE AND GENERATE A PRODUCTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO STANDARD TOUR OPERATIONS,

Mega Sierra Tour is an agency committed to community-based tourism. Our form of operating directly contributes to improving the quality of life in our communities and enhancing their infrastructure. Having already generated more than 3,500 indirect jobs, we have proven that our six communities, through transparency, respect, and solidarity, are dedicated to helping each other grow, maintaining our cultural heritage, and providing YOU with high-quality and fair-priced services.

WHY MEGA SIERRA TOUR

We pride ourselves in being a different type of tour agency; we not only ensure you receive the best experience possible, but also give back to the communities we make up and serve. With us you can be at peace knowing that your trip was much more than just a trek, but a life-changing experience for you and for the local people you visit.

Helps to the community.

1/3 goes to school construction, drinking water supply, and
Help vulnerable people.

REFORESTING

With your kind help we have planted more than 600 young trees in the last 2 years in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the tropical forest of Cienaga.

We like hiring local guide because who knows better than a local. Plus the hires are made in the six communities we mentioned before making sure than everyone gets a share of the money from Mega Sierra Tour.

HELP FOR ALL

We use the other 50% of our profits to ensure that the Lost City path maintain itself walkable for all its visitors.

SMALL GROUPS

When we take you to the Lost City we do it in small groups of 4-6 people and a maximum of 12 to make sure that your guide can offer an excellent and personal service.

FRIENDLY STAFF

We have the best people waiting in our office to solve any question you might have and give you all the love and gratefulness from the six rural communities that we support.
